Today we are looking to officially (albeit fashionably) debunk that only ladies can wear floral patterns for some style funk. Because, our dapper dudes, it's just NOT TRUE. And we've got the petal pushin' proof, too, in the form of our 'This bud's for you' Orange Floral Dots Navy Snapback Hat; whatcha think about THAT?!? We mean, jeez. Just look at how manly our model still looks, even with a floral-y hat/hood. He seems to definitely be in the know when it comes to putting on one heck of a stylish little stem show. Besides, it kind of puts a whole new meaning and spin on that of 'flower power,' now doesn't it?!?
So just how do we put our stylish yet still manly man stamp on that of a little flowery patterned hat? What a good question, we say, and we'll show you right now, straight away, with some pieces a la Strunway. Let's start with the perfect shirt for you to pair with and werk. The Casual Chest Pocket Loose Fit Cotton Tee seems to fit in, rather perfectly. It's casual enough to give off the vibe that you are more than comfortable with your floral and feminine side, and when paired up with Round Circle Mirrored Sunnies colored blue, it just literally SCREAMS our 'this bud's for you' kind of petal-pushin' proof ... right, dudes???
But now we must (finally) gain even more of your trust and get down to your legs and "stems" and just what to wear and put on them. Luckily for you, we've got that style solution, too: Casual Camouflage Patterned and Banded Shorts as our style source; and as a bonus, they look super dope with our Woven Navy Flat Slip-On Sneaks (and those aforementioned camo shorts.) So we are done. We've now shown you how the style war can be won when it comes down to how you can wear flowers like the ladies, sons. And somehow the statement of our 'this bud's for you' now rings all the more louder and true.
There's really not a more quintessential and stylish shirt on a man than that of one that is made from a checkered plaid. Think about it for just a bit. Have you never NOT seen a man look super good in it? It goes with literally everything and looks darn good with a well-fitted pair of blue jeans. So we thought it deserved yet another style spotlight and nod today from us and our plaid-loving peeps over here at Strunway. So keep on reading all the way down to the end of this post, for we're going to tell you how to get the absolute most out of the plaid in your closet's zone so you, too, can be ... plaid to the bone.
So the first step in getting into the plaid to the bone closet zone is to decide how you want your plaid shirt to be shown. Meaning, do you want it to look all sorts of "casually", with a haphazardly rolled-up sleeve? That's definitely how we would prefer to wear our 3 Color Plaid Shirts; which is more than obvious and evident if you just look to today's many post pics. But that's not to say that we don't like it styled another way, like, buttoned all the way up with a tweed suit or jacket. But back to the rolled-up sleeve, 'cause we tend to like rolling up everything, including a Dark Navy Straight Fit Jean. Soo sleek, don't you think?
And to carry on (and round out) the theme of our plaid shirt looking all "casually," we want you to be aware of just which Strunway accessories you should pair with said checkered shirt when you wear it on the style street out there, for sure. Take our Casual Leather Brown Bag that just so happens to look oh so good with our shirt of plaid. And could amply fit more plaid shirts for you to in-the-future purchase, too. Or a Crocodile Pattern Leather Belt to keep your denim'd legs looking svelte down to your toes and our Navy Tassel Shoes a la boat. So, yeah. That is how to be 'in the zone' we call plaid to the bone.

We're still all quite cosmically obsessed with everything do with the galaxies, the universe and the stars, yes? Especially with currently playing movies and shows like Guardians of the Galaxy and Cosmos. So it should come as no real shock that that's just what we are going to blog and talk about today with our very own shoe-like milky way in the form of some Strunway blue slip-on sneaks pictured here for you to see. So all you stargazing studs and fellows that study philosophers like Galileo, get your telescopes ready and fixed on our fashion-y Strunway skies, for this is going to be one heck of a head-to-toe & stylin' ride.
So when you gaze up at the starry skies with the telescope you're toting at night, what's one thing that you hope to find? Some constellations, right? Well, what if we were to try and tie in some of our other Strunway pieces as a new clothing-like constellation? To go with the blue and white slip-on sneaks you're hopefully wearing on your feet? Like a Lime Solid Long Sleeved Shirt. Yeah. That could totally work. And it would look pretty good with the slip-on sneaks you've got; the ones that cosmically resemble the galaxy and what not. And just another way to connect the dots ... to the clothes constellation(s) being sought.
But no Strunway clothing constellation could be complete without going all in from your head down to your sneak(ed) feet. So we thought we'd start your day with sunnies you should wear, okay? Some in the navy shade to act as your telescope in the day. Now moving down to what to wear on your legs to match your galaxy'd feet, mkay? What about US Army Patch denim shorts to act as your space suit/clothes cohort? And don't forget to add a fashion fanny pack to put your cosmic coordinates in for when you are telescoping at night again. So our galaxy quest is now done. That is it. Wanna see our spaceship?
Sometimes you just gotta fight back. #mensfashion #strunway #dapper #streetfash
Please, allow us to "jog" your memory now: Remember way back when to the no-no kind of style and fashion trend that every online editor and stylist was shaking their heads and saying "uh-uh" and "nope" to when it came to wearing sweatpants outdoors, well do you, our comfort-loving dudes? Well, we here at Strunway remember that, too, but also happen to have a super cool alternative to those comfy casual and drawstringed pants and they're what we like to call the (also conveniently drawstringed) Denim Jogger Pants; that we guarantee no one will be shaking their heads "no" to, because, well they're just way too cool.
And to up the rad and cool outfit quotient and fashion factor up even more - we've gone ahead and paired those denim and drawstringed jogger pants with a color and trim contrasting tribal tank top. Score! Wait, what's that you say? You want us to show you even more wardrobe-y pieces and ways in which you can style our, err, your denim-y pants, today? Then it is a good thing we've also got loads of matching, go-with-everything accessories! Like a black and white snapback hat that just so happens to match our too-cool-for-school pair of black retro framed sunnies, all for YOU, our comfort-seeking/stylish dudes!!!
So last but not ever least, we hope you didn't really think we'd forget to mention the last important clothing/accessory piece of the need to also dress you and your feet in something like our grey and white combo sneaks; you know, for all those times you just want to be super stylish, but also casual and comfy. And we think it's pretty safe to say - with the whole blog jogging of your memory today - that we've officially debunked and put to rest all those editors and stylists and their past aversion(s) to the casual drawstringed pant that you can wear not just in, but outdoors, too; because that's just how we do.
There are just some things in life that are meant and made to go together; much like a blue and white woven belt made of braided leather and a worn-in pair of asymmetry vintage washed jeans -- kind of like the fashion and style world's equivalent in clothing to the world of food's peanut butter and jelly. So since we clotheshorses here at Strunway are all about the clothing equivalent (and not the PB & J), we thought we'd talk about something we like to (hopefully cleverly) call waist management. And yes, it has pretty much everything to do with the aforementioned jeans and the blue and white belt, too.
Because, fellas, can you really think of two pieces of clothing more meant and made to be than that of a woven belt and a pair of your most favorite jeans? And forgive us, please, for yet another food-related blog analogy -- but isn't the blue and white belt you pair with your jeans kind of like the fashion-y milk to your cookies? And what would you think if we were to add in another piece of clothing, most imperative, to that which we have deemed and nicknamed, waist management? For you're going to have to wear something on top of the pair; like our fashion pocket Henley tee -- to make your pairing of two, now a three.
And what if we were to think to get a bit more clothes crazy by adding in one more stylish accessory into the mix to make sure you're making a real big style statement, along with our initial and original one of waist management? Something like a pair of classic grey sneaks? Well, what do you think? Kind of like the cherry on top of your Strunway sundae. Or not. Man, there we go again with yet another food analogy/sentiment. It's just so easy when explaining to get a more visual sense of this post's waist management. But if you could excuse us, please, for we are suddenly craving some peanut butter and jelly ...
Have you ever pretended that you were in the cast of of Hawaii Five-O, the detective/police TV series procedural? And have you gone as far (like this fashion blogger) as to wonder what you would wear if you were hired as an extra just to walk around in the background there? Then boy, have we got the answer for you, and it comes straight from our Strunway vault and racks, too; in the form of a navy blue Hawaiian-flower print and patterned shirt for all you surfer-loving dudes to purchase and to maybe also quelch any lingering kind of li'l hunch a certain blog writer may have regarding an outfit's "Hawaiian Punch."
But if you are down and interested in placating a certain blog writer in their police procedural extra-like daydreams and wouldn't mind continuing pretending that you may just want to pack a bit more punch into an outfit you could possibly wear as an extra eating at the Craft Foods table for lunch, then may we suggest the next Strunway piece to your imaginary outfit? Thank you and please. We figured since the shirt kind of says it all, loud and proud in its fashionable floral-y gall, that you would probably want to tone it down on the bottom with a more classic hue of sorts. Like - a pair of white flat front shorts.
And continuing on down, too, with a casual beige loafer for your shoe. But no extra's ensemble would be complete without that of their character's backstory told for the small screen by some well-placed accessories: A white woven belt of leather may suggest that the character's somewhat clever in toning it down just enough when it comes to all sartorial stuff; or perhaps by wearing a simple brown leather bracelet on his wrist that he's ready to work, something serious. But again, this is only if you were willing to placate and quelch a certain blog writer's "Hawaiian Punch" ... when meeting at the Craft Foods table for lunch.
No, this post isn't even close to being about that kind of NSFW hanky panky; nope, it's just about a black and white bandana and paisley-printed bag that looks particularly stylish when carried by a Strunway man. And we will go into even more details for you about what to put in your newly purchased paisley bag, too. Whether that happens to be your cell phone, lunch or even just your car keys to a pile of newspapers or some fashion magazines. So please don't you worry or think that you have to switch your computer's screen to something more work appropriate, knowwhatwemean? **Nudge nudge and a wink wink**
Still with us? We hope so because we haven't even begun to start to show you what you can pair with said paisley bag, dudes. And if you want the bag to be front and center, the main focus of your ensemble, remember to wear classic, never-go-out-of-style things like a black and buttoned v-neck tee and a pair of just torn and worn-in enough blue jeans; to make that black bandana tote and bag of ours really pop when heading out the door to work, lunch or a date and what not. As if that weren't enough for your style mantle, did we mention it has easy-to-carry handles? Nothing like a clutch that can be hard to hold and such.
So now that you are well on your way to making your black paisley bag purchase (with us) today, may we also be bold enough to suggest some accessories of ours we think are the best? They're simple and easily matched, really. Super easy peasy. Just a pair of knotted and braided black and brown flip-flops, some stain glass multi-colored sunnies to pop and a red, white and blue woven belt that will give you style help/aid by matching the bottom of your plaid-printed jeans, okay?! So get on out there, see if anyone can resist you in your suitable for work, hanky panky, paisley-bagged and Strunway-clad outfit ...
Please don't panic, okay? We promise there are no alien bug-like creatures coming your way, no matter what this title might insinuate. No, we are just (hopefully quite cleverly) referencing the star print on our drawstring(ed) jeans. And maybe also banking on the fact you will want to try your hand (or legs) at being a starship trooper by wearing our pants, okay? So gear up, you soldiers of style because we're gonna be here a while; besides, we haven't even begun to explain the other pieces you can wear with our star pants, mkay? Now that we have got your full attention, here are the other pieces we want to mention.
See that patchy wrist(ed) clutch bag that our model just so happens to have in his hand? Don't let his dashing good looks fool you, 'cause those patches have been put to good use in the many battles he has won, not the fighting alien bug-like creature ones, but on the street style fashion forefront. Because as every fashionable fellow knows, you gotta show off your style skills, preferably in patches, yo. And for those days you don't want to be seen or tapped, we have our vintage Fuse jean bucket hat so you can hide from the paps. And if you need to get away fast and run, we've got some woven kicks for you, sons.
And you could even pay tribute to all the other style soldiers, too, and stay true to your fashion fightin' roots by wearing a casual and loose-fitting tee shaded green (and not blue.) Oh. And don't forget to make a stylish little spectacle of yourself by pulling a pair of leopard framed and mirrored sunnies off our Strunway shelf; just in case our bucket hat doesn't fully hide you from those camera-wielding paps. Because you might as well look dang good if they happen to catch you strollin' the neighborhood. So that's it. Now you're armed and ready to go (and show) just how a Strunway style soldier/star does it, YO.
