Grey is the new black. At least that's what we here at Strunway have to say about our acid wash grey jean pant, okay? And we have a feeling that's what you'll be saying, too, just as soon as you finish reading this pants post of ours, dudes. Because we are about to turn fashion houses and mags' past clothing cred right on their basic all-black-loving heads because there is nothing more current or stylish than putting your own individual sartorial shade spin on it. So go on, we'll wait, while you fold up and tuck away all your black jeans, okay, because it's high time that you start to make way for the new black AKA grey.
And we've even gone one sartorial step more by showing you a grey jean with rad, just-worn-in enough rips and holes galore. And having made it an acid wash grey, too, we're giving a clever little *wink wink nod nod* to the acid wash-loving fashion days from the infamously rad 1980s decade! But we've also modernized them for today by making 'em in a super slimming and skinny fit, okay? And we're sure you're thinking right about now just what are you supposed to wear these rad pants with to properly wow all those fashion houses and mags for your own clothing cred. A hint: Just look at the post pics.
So why not start your rad outfit revolution with a shirt that doesn't have an all-black tint, sartorial sirs? Because, remember, you are trying to prove that grey (and maybe a khaki top, too) is the new black, dudes. And feel free to tuck that shirt in or leave it casual and loose, and add a black pair of crocodile patterned slip-on leather shoes. And instead of putting your wallet in your jeans back pocket, we thought why not add another clever little *wink wink nod nod* to the all-black fashion houses and mags by carrying a tote that has a leather square colored black to go with your grey is the new black acid washed pants?
Just another day #mensfashion #strunway #streetfashion #distressed #jeans
Okay guys, are you anything like the writer of this little blog and find that your closet's racks only hog certain colors and hues like white, greys, blacks and navy blues? And are you feeling like, too, that maybe you need some bright saturated hues to add to said closet's sartorial scene? Well, then, orange you glad that you're reading this post because this writer's got just the hue host for you to infuse into your closet, dudes. And there is not a white, grey, black or blue thread anywhere in it, it's true. Nothing but the bright of the brightest hues for you. Want one more little hint? It is the second color of the rainbow, gents.
If you guessed orange, then good for you, because that is today's spotlighted hue! And it just so happens to come in the form of a blazer that is anything but the style norm. But want to know another hint? This blazer pairs will ALL OF IT! Your whites, your greys, your blacks and blues; there's nothing that this bright color can't match itself to! Which is also why we've paired it with our casual shorts and u-shaped pocket tee shaded white and so totally legit. And not to forget the accessories that also match with it, too, so perfectly. From a crocodile navy clutch bag to a red, white and blue bowtie boutonniere. R-A-D!!!
And we've got one more style hint, and trust us, you're gonna like it. To be fair, when you decide that you're going to wear a hue that is so very bright and out of the norm for you, you've got to be willing to make it the star of your ensemble and outfit, okay? Meaning that you have to pare it down with another classic hue, like, say that of a dotted tie fashion pin or a blue oxford shoe. Or a black and white rimmed fedora hat made for the coolest of cats. So like we said at the start of this post, orange you glad you have found a new hue host to wear/pair with the whites, greys, blacks and blues of your closet(s), dudes?
Summer style suggestion. Half&Half #strunway #mensfashion #halfandhalf
Anybody out there ever watch or view the TV show Gilligan's Island? And did you wish you were the Skipper or Gilligan? Huh? Did you? 'Cause we sure did. And we liked it. And we even sometimes liked to daydream that we were the captain of our own ship/yacht pristine. So we thought it oh-so-fitting that we would write today about our selection of summery boat shoes, okay? You know, to get you feeling like you'd fit right in with all the characters on that island. We've got them in all the sailor hues, too; like, a bright sunshine-y yellow (for you "Gilligan" fellows) and a brown/navy blue if the Skipper is more you. So step aboard for what is promised to be a much shorter tour than hours three --- and think about what little boat shoes you'll be wearing when you do...
Oh. And before we forget, we'd like to mention to you our shoes teeny tiny, itty bitty price tags, too. Because if there is one think you can count on at Strunway, it's that we are going to get you on your stylish little ship and yacht-loving (and wearing) way without you having to pay a large dollar amount because that's what we think counts. So you're not going to pay more than $45 for any of the ship-inspired shoe styles that you dig and like. So now that you know these boat shoes are something you can afford, you'll have to really think which character is your link. Don't forget that there's Thurston Howell III and the Professor, too, which we happen to think would like our all navy sneaker shoe. You know, to be comfy for all the radio-fixing work he would have to do.
And you can't forget the rest of your outfit, especially if on an island you find yourself shipwrecked and stranded; because we here at Strunway demand it. Which is why we've got for you the perfect springtime shades of shorts and shirts for you to wear with them, too. From pastel green shaded shorts to a woven belt to match all different color sorts and a square check pattern shirt in white whose sleeves you can roll up or down, depending on the temperature when you suddenly find yourself (deserted) island-bound. So see, we have got the perfect way for you to be stylish on your ship-sailing ways. For we here at Strunway know just how to clothing-like dote with perfect leather shoes a la boat that will definitely float (and not sink or wreck) your little fashion-y boat.
It's a jungle out there, guys. Are we right or areweright?!? So we thought, why not take it even more literally (and heck, also fashionably) and make it a whole getting-dressed-for-the-day theme? With one of the most popular trends for you, our suit-wearing gentlemen and dapperest of dapper dudes. So gone gone away are the days of the blazer and pant pinstripe, because the short suit jungle print is here and it's colored BRIGHT. Are we right or areweright?!? So come and read on below for our little jungle fever runway and fashion show.
Because that's what we at Strunway are all about, right? Showing you fellas how to look more than alright when you are out there on the style streets setting the trends looking nothing but the most well-dressed and stylish of men. So why not take a big old sartorial (okay, and maybe literal) leap and step into our matching jungle print suit with some rad black sneaks on your feet? 'Cause there ain't no way that the street style photogs aren't going to want to snap and flash away as soon as they see brightly-suited you coming their lens' way.
But just how much cooler could we make you look when down the street you are trying to book? Well, it's a good thing you asked and that we are more than ready for this task; for we have not only a black hat a la snapback, but a pair of dark shades to make you look all the more cooler, okay? And if you happen to wake up the next day and not want to wear head-to-toe jungle, that's A-OK. 'Cause you can switch it up and wear our jungle print on bottom or just the top. But whatever you do, just remember: It's a jungle out there, dudes.
You know how there are those tried-and-true clothing basics that you dudes, season after season, seem to forever and always cling to? Well, there is an inherent reason why you buy those particular pieces, guys. And that's just what we are here to do and are not-so-coincidentally going to be talking and blogging about today with you as we do our very best to not scientifically, but sartorially explain why we have dubbed your season-after-season shopping (and instinctual) habits with the name (drum roll, please) of "Basics Train(ing)."
And when aboard this specific style train, you fellas are almost always found in t-shirts that are shaded and colored in hues of black, white and/or grey. We'll go ahead and wait while you sneak off into your closet's now and see that we're SO right. And how! We bet you've got at least those three already folded or a-hanging, not to mention, in different styled necks of u-shaped, scoop or v, yes? And those are just the tees with short sleeves! But don't worry. That just means you've already been instinctually schooled in using basic training tools.
So with flying fashion colors, you have most certainly passed; now we're going to tell you how to make those basic training tees of yours last, from one style season to the next. Yes, we know you, you like the tried-and-true of pairing your tees with all of your already just-right-fitting jeans. But what if they need a bit more dressing? Why not pair them with a blazer in bright coral-y peach? Or when cold weather hits, a dress pant with stripes and a slim fit? Because if our basic training's taught you anything, it's that your tees ain't just for blue jeans.
Yes, today we are taking you back to school, but don't worry, this university is tres cool. Why? Well, because we are going to teach you all about the one shoe that you need to be wearing as a stylish scholastic dude. Because as any self-proclaimed teacher's pet can (and will) attest to, it's not only your book smarts that get them to notice you, but what you happen to be wearing when they and you do, too. So go on, take out your spiral notebook and your little ballpoint pen -- and start writing and jotting down EVERYTHING we are saying.
Got that pen in your hand, a-writing? Yeah? Good. Then we can proceed to what we are about to profess and teach. See, when it comes to the oxford shoe, only the classics will ever do. We're talking about anything-but-mousy browns and glossy blacks and even black and white kinds of oxford-y spats. But what to wear them with, head-to-toe, you want to know? Well, allow us to go ahead and go into a lecture now about black dress slacks and blue jeans and how to wear them with your newly bought Strunway oxfords, like, forthwith.
Let's start with your head since that is what you said you want to know when dressing your oxfords, from head to toe. You will need a hat. And that's that. Preferably a fedora or trilby. Yes, that is what you'll be needing. Then you'll need to proceed with what kind of topper to wear to Oxford University. What do you think about a button up that's patterning? So chic. And what about pants? We haven't forgotten that. Would you concur that a black/grey pant is preferred? If you nodded and agreed, then welcome to our Oxford University.
Summertime and the dressing's easy. At least that's how we like to see it. Especially when all we want you to do is to be able to throw on a pair of of-the-moment patterned and printed shorts as you make your way out your front door. Because no one wants to have to worry about if they are stylish enough when they are in a hurry to go out and enjoy the bright warm yellow sun while getting all of their work and run-around errands done. It's a darn good thing, then, that we've got multiple and numerous pairs for you to zip up and wear !!!
From black and white bermuda short(s) littered with polka dots not-too-big to blue and white boxed-in sailing ships, you're bound to find a pair that you are going to want to wear. And if polka dots and ships don't get you excited about all of this, then we also happen to have a barrage of camouflage patterns and prints, not to mention, lest we forget, a pair of loose-fitting cotton shorts that mimic denim! So there is NO WAY that you can say that Strunway isn't up on clothes trendingness, not with all our super duper stellar short(s)-sightedness !!!
And don't worry, we haven't forgotten about what you are going to wear on top, men! For we've got you covered there, too, because that's just what we here at Strunway do! And since it's all sorts of summery out there, why not think to pair your cool, new patterned shorts with something of the linen or hemp fabric sort? Like this button-up, for example; a very stylish sample. Or a shirt in the hue of a watery blue that you can roll up and wear with our shorts, too! So see, we aren't kidding that with our shorts, summer dressing is easy.
